Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FarkleScoring.com (“Farkle Scoring,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you visit or use this website.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you submit. If you use the feedback form, we collect the feedback type, your message, any email address you choose to provide, the page URL, the application version, and information about your browser or device (the user-agent string).
- Usage and analytics information. We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand how visitors find and use the website. GA4 may collect page views, interactions, session information, approximate location, browser and device information, referring URLs, and identifiers stored in first-party cookies such as
_gaand_ga_<container-id>. Google may receive your IP address when your browser connects to its services and uses it as described in its documentation. - Hosting and security information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process network and request information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, device or browser information, and security signals to deliver and protect the website.
- Game information stored on your device. Player names, scores, settings, and game history are saved in your browser’s local storage so a game can continue after the page is refreshed. This game information remains on your device and is not sent to our feedback database.
How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain the scorekeeper; remember games on your device; measure traffic and understand website usage; respond to feedback if you provide contact information; diagnose errors; improve features and usability; prevent spam, duplicate submissions, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations.
Feedback and abuse prevention
Feedback submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1. To limit spam and repeated submissions, the feedback service creates one-way hashes derived from the submitted message and the requesting IP address. We do not store the raw IP address in the feedback database. Hashes and other feedback records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the feedback service, prevent abuse, resolve issues, and meet legal obligations.
Cookies, analytics, and your choices
GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google states that its standard GA4 cookies generally expire after up to two years, although browser settings and our Google Analytics configuration may affect their duration. You can block or delete cookies using your browser controls. You may also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking analytics cookies may reduce the information available to us but should not prevent you from using the scorekeeper.
You can clear saved game information by resetting the game through the website, clearing this site’s local storage in your browser, or clearing your browser’s site data.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that process it on our behalf, including:
- Google Analytics, for website measurement and analytics. Google’s use of information is governed by its own terms and policies, including How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, content delivery, security, serverless functions, and D1 database storage.
- Google Fonts, which supplies web fonts and may receive technical request information when your browser downloads font files.
We may also disclose information if required by law; to protect rights, safety, and security; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of website assets. We do not sell personal information for money.
Data retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to service-provider settings and legal requirements. GA4 data is retained according to the retention settings configured for our analytics property and Google’s applicable policies. Information in browser local storage remains until it is reset, deleted, or cleared by you or your browser.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
This website is a general-audience scorekeeping tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the feedback form, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify a request before fulfilling it, and legal exceptions may apply.
Because the scorekeeper does not require an account and most game information remains on your device, we may not be able to identify analytics information as relating to you. To submit a privacy request, use the “Give Feedback” button below, select “General Feedback,” and describe your request. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Those providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards where required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through an additional notice where appropriate.
